The current system was created to facilitate meritocracy and fairness across the Army.
Online Training The United States Army Combat Readiness Center now hosts its Distance Learning (DL) courses on the Army Training Support Center (ATSC) Army Learning Management System (ALMS) site. This provides Soldiers, Army civilians, safety professionals and joint forces greater access to our training resources.
Course Prerequisites: You must be active Army or reserve component enlisted personnel selected for attendance by DA (active Army) or recommended by unit commander (reserve component). Soldiers reporting for training must be physically qualified or possess a valid waiver according to AR 40-501 and meet the physical standards of AR 600-9.
As part of its pre-deployment training the overseas battalion will spend two months training that follows a Director of Defence Forces Training Circular which outlines what training must be completed and at what stage. The training is divided into four phases with different levels of intensity and responsibility.
