What is HIIT? High-intensity interval training is a short, sharp and intense workout system guaranteed to blast body fat and build fitness. As a workout revolution, high-intensity interval training changed the face of fitness when it exploded onto the mainstream scene in the 2000’s.
Most of the HIIT workouts are designed to be done with minimal to no equipment and can even be done in small spaces. One of my favorite aspects of the NTC program is that they offer a variety of their HIIT workouts combined with strength, core, or lower and upper body workouts.
While HIIT training can be an intense way to work out, the great news is your level of exertion is relative to your fitness level. As a beginner, even walking intervals can be used for this type of training — if an adequate amount of intensity is achieved.
