Browse his past posts here. It’s been seven weeks since I started my Zwift account.

I like zwift best of all the winter training apps so that's where I'm looking. I was looking at the winter training plan and the ftp builder and I like the way the winter training plan looks because it starts out with long slow rides which is what I think I need.

2 years of doing a fair bit of TrainerRoad in the winter, around 90 sessions in total, had given me an estimate LTHR of 164. First Zwift race a couple of weeks ago, averaged 171 for the hour race and raised my FTP by about 25 watts. First real world race the week after that, almost identical numbers to the Zwift race.

Pro tip: Include a zone in your workout in one of the following ways: (1) enter a minimum time only (decimal values allowed) to include the zone without a maximum, or (2) enter the maximum zone time only to include the zone up to a certain maximum, or (3) set minimum and maximum times.A minimum zone time of 0 means that the zone will be optional for the workout.

Take a look at the Zwift 12 week winter (advanced) training program, it's got a pretty good TSS load, intervals, power, pedaling exercises, etc. After 7 years of "actual" coaches, I think a number of these virtual coaches are excellent, not to mention much more cost effective.

How it works: You’ll start Zwift like you normally would, pairing up sensors and such. After that’s done, you’ll tap the ‘Training’ button next to Ride Type, just like you would have to previously have accessed the one-off workouts: At this point you’ll be on the on the ‘Workouts’ tab, which is where the one-off workouts are.

The Academy culminates in a 2x8-minute power test, similar to the FTP tests used at the tail end of other training plans. For racers just a few weeks out or in the midst of race season, these plans can serve as race simulations or key form finders before your biggest goal races.
